Catherine Bell is born in London, England, She is the daughter of Peter Bell, an English citizen who works as an architect, and Mina, an Iranian citizen who works as a personal assistant and nurse. When she still was at the age of three her parents got a divorce, so she stayed with her mother and they moved to the United States, California. when Catherine Bell turned twelve years old she finally became a naturalized citizen of the United States of America.Catherine Bell describes her self as a geek, that is when she was still in school she loved anything that had to do with math and biology, she could have worked in the field of video gamming where when she was still in junior high she programmed her own computer video game.

When Catherine Bell was still a child she acted in various advertisment commercials. When she was done with high school Catherine Bell attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), at that time she was working in the modelling field, and her dream in university was to become either a biomedical engineer or a physician, but unfortunatly for her she dropped put of university to persue her career in becoming a full-time model.
